Precious Metals Show Signs of Improvement Only in Gold
The rise in yields we have witnessed over the past few weeks has also taken its toll on precious metals. Let’s take a look at what the health scores tell us about gold, silver, platinum and palladium.
The four major precious metals we monitor have health scores ranging from 35.7 to 43.6, all below the neutral threshold of 50. The system places them in the same Weak zone, with little likelihood of moving out of it in the short term. Gold is the only metal to have improved over the past month, but the improvement comes from the less robust component of its score. In the background, a stronger dollar and rising real yields continue to weigh on the market.
