Financial Markets Breathe a Sigh of Relief

Financial markets are buoyed by finally positive news coming from the Middle East. The underlying setup for both equities and bonds has never been affected.

Our intermarket dashboards show a rapid reversal of the recent risk-off wave following news of a potential ceasefire between Israel and Iran. We continue to confirm the underlying trend, which remains bullish for both equities and bonds, while commodities are still volatile and in a medium-to-long-term sideways pattern.

On the macroeconomic front, today’s focus is on the Ifo survey data from Germany, Canadian inflation, and U.S. housing price trends.

Our forecasting models indicate a positive day for U.S. equities, while European markets show some added uncertainty. Gold and oil are slowing down. Volatility remains stable or slightly rising.
