Financial markets are moving forward with cautious optimism

Financial markets are moving forward with cautious optimism, keeping an eye on the developments in the negotiations between the United States and the European Union on one hand, and on quarterly earnings on the other: today it’s Nvidia’s turn. The phase of positive correlation between equities and bonds continues.

In our intermarket dashboards, we continue to observe how risk indicators still signal lingering uncertainty in financial markets. Meanwhile, equities and bonds remain positively correlated, while commodities remain in a prolonged sideways phase.

On the earnings front, all eyes are on Nvidia’s results.

On the macroeconomic front, the day offers few data points likely to move the markets. Expected releases include European consumer inflation expectations, Indian industrial production data, and two Federal Reserve indicators (Dallas and Richmond).

Our forecast analyses also point to another day characterized by uncertainty, although there are some positive signs in both U.S. and European equities. Bonds are expected to rise further, while in the commodities space, the outlook remains one of wait-and-see. Volatility is expected to remain stable.
