Wall Street’s Magnificent Seven Are Back in the Spotlight
Among the sectors that have contributed to the rebound of U.S. equities after the sharp drop in early April, the technology sector stands out without a doubt. The stars of the sector—the so-called Magnificent Seven—have recently begun to shine again.
Over the past month, the stocks of the “Magnificent Seven” (Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta Platforms, Nvidia, Tesla) have seen a strong recovery after a difficult first quarter. Since the low reached on April 8, 2025, these stocks have collectively gained nearly 14%. The rebound of the Magnificent Seven marks a reversal from the start of the year, when they were penalized by a rotation into value stocks and more traditional sectors like pharmaceuticals and financials.

The chart included in this post shows how the acceleration began around mid-April, driven on one hand by strong Q1 earnings from Apple and Microsoft, and on the other by the announcement of a 90-day pause in the implementation of U.S. tariffs.
