Uneasy Financial Markets as Week Ends on Trade and U.S. Credit Concerns
Financial markets uneasy at the end of the week. While corporate earnings reports seem to be going well, concerns are growing about the health of credit in the United States, the continuation of the government shutdown, and tensions between the U.S. and China. The main trends remain solid, but market sentiment is shifting.

Our intermarket dashboards confirm what we highlighted in previous analyses: the main trends are still intact — equities and bonds remain in an uptrend, while commodities are moving sideways.
However, we can only note a sharp decline in sentiment, with gold continuing to gain strength and the S&P 500/VIX ratio falling to its lowest levels since last May.
Our forecast analyses point to an uncertain day for U.S. equities, while a few more positive signals are emerging in Europe. As for bonds, the outlook remains favorable for the corporate segment. Volatility is stable or slightly rising.
