Financial markets are searching for direction at the start of November

Financial markets are searching for direction at the start of November. The U.S. technology sector is acting as a lightning rod, but the absence of U.S. macro data and the Fed’s slowdown are making investors more cautious. Equities show mostly positive signals, corporate bonds are performing well, gold remains in wait-and-see mode, and volatility is stable.

No significant changes appear on our intermarket dashboards. The week begins with a positive yet moderate sentiment, weak gold prices, and equity and global bond uptrends facing a loss of momentum.

On the macroeconomic front, today brings the final readings of October’s PMI surveys, the U.S. ISM Manufacturing index, and China’s Manufacturing PMI.

As for earnings, all eyes are on Palantir’s results.

Our forward-looking analysis points to a positive start to the week for equities, with slightly more uncertainty in Europe and Asia. Positive signals for commodities, with gold still showing a wait-and-see pattern. The dollar continues to rebound, and the outlook remains positive for corporate bonds. Volatility is stable.
